Club Coaching Sessions & Events

Royal Caledonian Curling Club staff can support your club or province to host coaching sessions and events. Events hosted to date include Strategy & Tactics, Delivery Analysis, Ladies Coaching Days and Masterclasses however we are happy to discuss any ideas you have!

If you are interested in hosting an event, please contact Sheila Swan to discuss potential dates and requests. The Royal Caledonian Curling Club can support affiliated clubs with promotional material, content and provision of qualified coaches.

The Big Lottery Fund’s 2014 Communities offers grants between £300 and £2000 to sports clubs, voluntary and community organisations, community councils and schools.

The highest priority areas for funding are:

  • Getting more children under 5 to take part in physical activity
  • Getting more women and girls to take part in physical activity
  • Getting more disabled people to take part in physical activity
  • Getting more older people aged over 65 to take part in physical activity.

You must be able to complete the project and spend the entire grant within a maximum of twelve months of receiving the grant payment. A decision will be made within 20 working days of a completed application and supporting documentation such as constitutions and bank statements will be required only after a conditional offer has been made. If the documents are satisfactory, the grant will be paid into your club’s bank account.

If you would like advice or support to complete an application, please contact Sheila Swan or Judith McFarlane.
