Skill Awards

The Royal Club Skills Awards Programme is designed to improve young curlers’ skills through a series of awards which become gradually more challenging. The scheme will be taught by Royal Club qualified coaches. The programme is open to all junior curlers and junior coaches/coordinators are encouraged to use the scheme as part of their club/ after-school activities. Progress through the awards is determined by individual ability.

Once a Skill Award is achieved your instructor will encourage you to advance through the next award following the standard requirements. The appropriate coloured badge will be awarded for successful completion of each level and an attractive signed certificate, suitable for framing.

In addition participation in the Skills Awards allows the benefit of membership to the Royal Club through either a local club or as a “Skill Award Junior” allowing monitoring and measurement of skill proficiency that is recognised by the governing body.
